My first NFL game

My Uncle, Randy, and 2 of his sons, Josh and Johnny came down to the cities for the Vikings game tonight. They had an extra ticket so I decided to join them since it was a pretty decent price. Here's how the evening went.

I met them at the hotel at 5:30 and we left to grab a quick bite to eat before the game. We then proceeded to the 28th street parking area to get on the tram. I had never ridden the tram before so that was new as well. I inserted my $20 bill only to get the ticket and 17 $1 coins back...that I got to carry around the rest of the evening. 45 minutes later we were at the Dome.

We got to our seats just a few minutes after the game started. The game wasn't too exciting but it was fun to see 62,000 fans in attendance as opposed to the normal Twins numbers. We ended up losing the game with 4 seconds left on the clock, but it was still fun.

We then left the Dome and got back into a very crowded Tram. The majority of the people on the tram were headed to either the 28th street exit or the MOA exit (the last two in the stretch). We were approaching the 3rd to last stop (Humphry terminal) when we started hearing a lot of not so good sounding noises coming from the train. About a minute later we were stopped inside a tunnel. We then slowly made our way up to the exit and we thought everything was ok. 10 minutes later we were still sitting/standing at the terminal with the doors open and they finally told us to exit the train and get on the next train that was coming on the other side. So everyone quickly exits the Tram to go to the other side. The next Tram appears about 2 minutes later...packed to the brim with Vikings fans. Thus, noone got on the train. After about 10 minutes out there, we finally were told to get back on the original Tram. Once everyone was in, we continued to our destination without any issues. Not really a good first Tram experience, but we made it there safe and sound so that is good.

It was a great evening and I enjoyed seeing my uncle and my cousins....even though the Vikings did lose.
