Jimmy Returns

2 weeks ago I took the week off of work to relax. As many of you know, Jimmy went in to have an operation about 6 months ago. There were numerous issues that needed attention. I visited him a few times since then, but he was still being monitored and needed some more operations. Finally, I received word that he had mended and was ready to leave. Thus, I made a trip up to my Parent's place to pick up the now mended Jimmy. In case you are confused, Jimmy is my vehicle (a GMC Jimmy), not a person :).

The following items (and likely a few others) were repaired:

• Transmission rebuilt (twice due to an issue with the first rebuild)
• Fan speed switch fixed (couldn't turn AC/Heat on High)
• Rear wiper fixed (didn't work at all before)
• Rear window brake light fixed (related to the rear wiper not working)
• Small Radiator leak patched
• Tail Gate button fixed (it recently broke making it harder to get into the back of the truck)
• Inside rear light fixed (it was more than just burnt out)

I am thankful to have an Uncle who knows and loves vehichles so much and is willing to help out those who need some tune ups. Not only did he do all the work, but he would not accept much for doing it. He saved me a LOT of money and I am very thankful for the work and effort he put into it.

I am also thankful to have parents who had a spare vehicle that they let me drive for a few months while Jimmy was being operated on. It was very helpful and got many miles put on it.

Now those of you who tend to look for my vehicle to see if they are at the right spot (you know who you are), you can start looking for my white Jimmy again. :)
