The service is last.fm and it allows for you to enter a list of artists and it will find similar artists that you may enjoy. As it is playing you can choose to "Love" a song or "Ban" a song. You can always add artists to your library as well. You can also tag artists and/or songs and just listen to those instead. The service is free, although I think there are some more advanced options if you pay a little each month (I am using the free service).
The nice thing is that there is no talking, just song after song. I am also looking forward to this being incorporated into my Xbox later this year in some manner. That will allow it to play through my sound system in the house just like the actual radio stations. If you listen to music online, I would recommend giving this a try.

if you like heavier music check out KLOVE's sister station Air1.com.
Pandora.com is another one I use quite a bit.
I also found a new one called Praise.fm. I think it's 95.3 - I like it because I don't know most of the songs that play, and I don't think I've heard the same one twice since I started listening.
