Driving in Silence

While you may think this post has something to do with me talking less when Wanda is trying to read in the car, that is not what it is about :). However, in those situations I am sure she would love for me to just drive in silence. I love you honey!

For the last month or two my truck has gotten noisier and noisier while driving. This was particularly noticeable when driving at higher speeds (90+ mph). I finally took my truck to the mechanic and they told me a wheel bearing was bad (almost to a very dangerous level). They fixed it for me and now my truck is quite quite while driving which is kinda nice. I didn't think too much of it at first, but it did seem to be getting worse (which it was) so I am thankful that I got it changed and did not have any incident before getting it fixed.

PS - If you don't know me well enough, I was joking about the 90+ :). It got noticabley louder when you got anywhere over 30+ miles an hour. Driving 65 mph got to be quite noisy. At 90+ the tire probably would have fallen off.

As someone who has the opportunity to carpool with Dustin regularly, I have to say that speeds exceeding 90 mph are actually not that uncommon. You see, on our way to video game night at the church, Dustin gets so excited that we often exceed the speed limit by well over 30 mph.

To be fair, he is even more excited to get home to see his wife. The trip home is accomplished so quickly that I was convinced for a while that he must have a secret shortcut to get there so quickly (it is amazing how different the scenery looks when you are going twice the normal speed).
