First Tennis match of the year

On Wednesday, our small group did not meet and thus Jason Kane and I took up the opportunity to play some tennis. For those that may not remember, it was extremelly windy that evening. For example, to get the ball to the other person so they had an extra one, you would hit the ball to the back corner and the wind would blow it right to him in the back middle. This made it real tough to hit to one side of the court as the wind would really affect the placement of your shot. One way or another, we still managed to play and had fun doing it.

I managed to beat him all three sets, but not by much. Final scores were 6-2, 7-5, and 7-5. I look forward to doing this again soon as I really enjoy playing. I really do enjoy playing tennis and wish I would play more.

On Vacation

Well. I am currently sitting at home on my week of vacation. I would prefer to be in Mexico. Due to the Swine Flu outbreak (which I think is being blown out of proportion) we delayed our trip (at no extra cost) till a bit later this summer. I am still very much looking forward to going.

I still took the week off of work, but Wanda is going back to work starting tomorrow. Yesterday I build the shelves in the garage. This morning I cleaned out one of our closets and then helped Wanda with going through our cupboards in the kitchen. Tomorrow I will probably continue this and go through another closet to clean it out and get things a bit more organized and in their proper place.

Not quite the vacation I intended to be on, but we will still be taking our trip to Mexico.

New Garage Shelves

Yesterday, Matt and I built some new shelves for my garage. These are 8' x 2' shelves with 4 shelves. They are very sturdy and will hold a lot of stuff in a bit more of an organized fashion than everything sitting on the ground in the garage. It doesn't take too long to build them and they can come apart fairly easily if I ever need to do that.

I am now working on going through the stuff in the garage and in the house and determining what should be put on the shelves and what should be put elsewhere.
